Trauma-Informed & Harm Reduction Approaches to Housing Stability
Helping Professionals Support Individuals in Maintaining Functional, Safe, and liveable living spaces
Training Overview
SAFE AT HOME is a 3-hour training for case managers, therapists, and housing-based staff. Participants gain practical tools and strategies to support individuals whose living environments are affected by trauma, mental health challenges, chronic illness, or other life stressors. I draw on lived experience, a Sociology degree with a minor in Psychology, and over ten years of professional work in social services, having navigated homelessness, supportive housing, foster care and independent living myself (as well as assisting individuals with same experiences).
This combination of experience supports my work assisting individuals who struggle with their living environments.
