In Gentle Hands – Service Agreement
Agreement Acknowledgment
By booking services with In Gentle Hands, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.
Scope of Services & Day-Of Changes
Services are booked based on the specific service type, scope, and estimated time agreed upon at booking or during a meet-and-greet. Requests to add, change, or upgrade services on the day of service are not guaranteed and may require additional time, incur additional fees, or result in unfinished areas. Accommodating changes does not extend the originally booked time unless agreed to in writing.
Time-Based Services & Expectations
All services are time-based, not task-based. Homes vary in size, level of buildup, clutter, maintenance history, and priority needs. As a solo service provider, additional time may be required in heavily soiled or cluttered spaces. Completion of all tasks is not guaranteed if the scope exceeds the booked time.
Arrival, No-Knock & No-Show Policy
For safety reasons, In Gentle Hands does not knock on doors. Upon arrival, a text is sent followed by a phone call if no response is received. A 15–20 minute wait period is observed. If no response is received, the appointment is considered a no-show and the full service fee applies. At the provider’s discretion, a reschedule may be offered with one (1) hour deducted from the booking time. No refunds apply.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made 7 or more days before service qualify for a full refund. Cancellations between 7 days and 48 hours before service will be charged 50% of the service fee. Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows are charged 100% of the service fee.
Photos & Documentation
Before-and-after photos are taken for documentation and proof of services rendered. Photos are never shared publicly without explicit consent and are securely stored for record-keeping purposes.
Utilities & Access
Clients must provide access to running water, electricity, parking, and service areas. Lack of access or utilities may result in a no-show or partial service charge.
Parking, Entry & Building Access
Clients are responsible for accurate access instructions including parking, gate codes, and unit numbers. Delays caused by lack of access reduce service time.
Commute & Travel Fees
Appointments located more than 30 minutes away are subject to a commute fee based on distance.
Dumping, Hauling & Disposal Fees
Clients are responsible for dump site fees and helper-for-hire costs, typically up to $50 per haul.

Privacy & Recording
No photos or videos of the provider may be taken without explicit consent.
Safety, Respect & Right to Refuse Service
If the provider feels unsafe, disrespected, or unable to continue work, services may be ended immediately. Payment is retained for time booked or worked.
Pets & Allergies
The provider is allergic to cat urine. Clients with cats are asked to clean litter boxes the night before or morning of service.
Cleaning Supplies & Methods
In Gentle Hands provides all supplies. Steam sterilization, vinegar and Dawn, and disinfectants may be used depending on conditions. Rags are disposed of after biohazard cleans or machine washed after standard cleans.
Biohazard Services & Smoking Policy
Protective gear is worn for biohazard services. Smoking or drug use during service is prohibited.
Lingering smoke odors may result in a biohazard fee.
Partial Completion & Time Banking
If services cannot be completed due to factors beyond the provider’s control, payment is based on time worked. At the provider’s discretion, unused time may be banked for a future appointment. Banked time has no cash value and is non-transferable.
Payments
Bookings are first come, first served. Payment is required to secure appointments. Recurring clients must submit payment by the first of the month.
Chargebacks & Fraud
Chargebacks filed after services are rendered or refunds are issued will be treated as fraudulent claims and contested. In Gentle Hands will no longer provide services to clients engaging in fraudulent disputes.
Business Credentials
In Gentle Hands is registered with the State of New Mexico, bonded with Liberty Mutual (Policy #999454423), insured with NEXT Insurance (Policy #NXT4D7Q9LX-00-GL), and registered with the Better Business Bureau (accreditation TBD).

Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas and willing to commute up to an hour and fifteen minutes out. Anything over a thirty minute drive a $50 commute fee will apply. Anything over an hour hour a $100 commute fee will apply.
Will service other states so long as client covers room and board. I have serviced folks in Puerto Rico on two separate trips.
This approach allows you to choose what matters most, while keeping the cleaning budget manageable if needed.
I accept various payment methods including website, venmo, check and bank transfer.

Available start times: 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, or 12:00 pm.
Earlier or later start times may be considered by request.
On special occasions In Gentle Hands has offered discounts, at this time there are no current on going discounts.
Bookings are first come first serve. Typically booked out two weeks out or more in advance. Feel free to reach out before booking to see if you can be fit in or if you can be added to a cancelation list.
Decluttering
Focus: Reducing the amount of items.
Goal: Decide what to keep, donate, recycle, or throw away.
Process: Sorting through belongings, letting go of unnecessary or unused items, and creating more open, usable space.
Example: Helping a client go through closets, cabinets, or garages to remove excess items.
Organizing
Focus: Arranging and structuring the items you’re keeping.
Goal: Create order, easy access, and efficiency.
Process: Categorizing, labeling, and setting up systems for storage and maintenance.
Example: Setting up bins in a pantry, color-coordinating clothes in a closet, or filing paperwork neatly.
One of In Gentle Hands core values is Integrity and Accountability, understanding that not every home they walk into would uphold these same values. Part of the process of any service that is not child care, BEFORE and AFTER videos will be taken to insure work was completed to it's efficiency.
Some clients allow the before and after videos to be posted and allow a few during videos/photos to be taken. This is not an obligation, just a friendly ask to help grow In Gentle Hands and market to the audience who need it most.
A text message would be sent out inquiring on comfortability level on posting said content and should the written consent via the text message be given, video would be posted; if denied the videos will be saved in clients file for record keeping purposes.
No: I bring my own cleaning products, and tools/supplies. I past a dry and wet rag while dusting. I use a hot steamer for floors. N use brand new mop heads for more severe clean ups. Have a shop vacuum for sofas and have a rug/sofa deodoranizer. I have a bunch of different gadgets. Scrub brushes, pumice, wet vacuum, per steamer, etc.
Typically use Dawn, Vinger and Fabulous for cleans. Have Degreser and bleach if needed.
